I am a resident of the Town of Whitman, Massachusetts and have been painting for many years, but since my retirement, I have been able to dedicate more time to my art. I love the colors and textures of all the things I see around me. whether in my own garden or the many places I have traveled. Painting is my outlet for all of the things that inspire me.
My camera is always with me. You never know when an image will present itself.
I enrolled in art classes for pastels, oils and acrylics with instructors such as Robert Arthur, Jackie Lacotore and John Nutter. I also enrolled in classes at the Fuller Museum of Art.
I still enjoy doing workshops and classes with other artists and instructors. Each have different styles and techniques, it is a great ongoing learning experience. I like to think that my own style and technique has inspired others.
I am a member of the North River Arts Society, South Shore Art Center, Duxbury Art Association, Plymouth Guild, Inc. For the Arts, and the Scituate Art Association, Inc.
I received an Honorable Mention at the 2009 Pembroke Arts Festival.
